Rape culture is so pervasive in South Africa that the vast majority of sexual assaults and rapes go entirely unreported. While not a problem unique to South Africa, it has unique implications for our country. Competing against a myriad of other social justice issues, the problem of rape culture is never considered seriously or with the severity that the problem warrants and this is, often, justified by not knowing the exact extent of the problem.

We created this form to try and gather information that we can take to the university and to government to show them the full extent of the problem. It's 100% anonymous and you can tell us about the incident in as much - or as little - detail as you feel comfortable with. While we are trying to get information to strengthen our case in the fight against rape culture, we hope that this form also shows you that someone cares. Someone in the world is listening and is fighting to make this world a place where you can feel safe again.
